Hi, I’m Jimmy Martin the owner of Elite Roofing. I grew up in a Christian home were morals, family values, and work ethic were the cornerstones of our family. My mother was very particular. I take a lot of pride in the work that we do and refuse to settle for any less with my employees. I have been in construction my entire life. I helped frame a house when I was 13 years old and have had a passion for construction ever since. I have built large commercial projects that were over 125 million, worked on very high end residential projects like the memory house for the Mrs. Melon in Middleburg, condos, town homes and single family homes.
When I originally opened Elite we did all aspects of construction. Now our primary focus is on ROOFING. I believe that in order to be the ELITE we have to focus on one aspect of construction. And one of the most important aspects of a home is the roof system. It’s your first line of defense against the storms of life. And when the storms roll in the way your roof was installed and the products that were used are critical in protecting your most important investment in life. If your looking for someone to come to your home with one liners hesitation to sign a contract, deals of the day because I like you, or a guarantee to get your roof paid for by your insurance company- then we are not the right company for you. I’d be lying if I said that I had not looked into this approach. Because unfortunately those methods do produce jobs. However, it goes against my morals. First off those type of companies are solely focused on revenue and profit. They spend thousands of dollars on training sales guys on how to sell a roof, the right words to say, and the things to do to keep a 40 percent profit margin. And zero dollars on training on how a roof should be installed. They also pay those sales guys a commission based off the profit margin.
So what happens the cut corners everywhere they can as long as that roof won’t leak in the first year. We choose to add a two year workmanship warranty rather then going with the state required one year warranty. I know that even with the high of a standards that we deliver there is always a chance for error when humans are involved. Giving that extra year assures me that any issues that from workmanship will be addressed. Within two years those issues will show themselves when roofs are installed with our methods. Using different products are a completely different story. It’s important to understand that your not always comparing apples to apples.
As mentioned already we go above and beyond the state one year requirement for the workmanship warranty that is provided by Elite. We do a full two year workmanship warranty on any full roof replacement that we install. I know that with the way we install the roof and the products used, any issues from workmanship will show themselves in a two year period. Now if you use different methods of flashing, install the valleys, or use cheaper products for ventilation cap then those issuses can take longer to arise and leave you with a 5-10 year old leaky roof. It can be a terrible predicament for a homeowner when they choose the company that cuts corners. Remember you don’t have a round roof, so choose Elite.
Which brings us to phase 2 of the warranty that ELITE provides. We use GAF brand shingles because they are the best quality for the price and their accessories products are by far the best on the market. But they also choose ELITE. We have taken all the required steps, training, and credentials to be a CERTIFIED GAF installer. And it’s a rigorous process, but well worth it because of what it provides our customers. The only way that you can receive any manufacture warrantee is if a CERTIFIED installer performs the work and registers your roof through the manufacture. WITH THE ELITE ROOF, you will be registered through GAF manufacture with a 50 year manufacture guarantee and we also offer a upgrade to a 50 year wind warranty. GAF has a ELITE manufacture warranty program and that’s the main reason we choose to work with them. They understand that there can be manufacturing issues and they stand behind all of them.
